The short answer
Choose HDP or Pipedrive for organizing sales leads, deal stages, contacts and follow-up activity. Pipedrive offers a mature, ready-to-use CRM. HDP can provide comparable core sales-management functions through a scoped implementation—and go further: coordinate AI-assisted intake, approved communications, assignments and measurable business outcomes across systems. HDP's custom capabilities are not a claim of complete out-of-the-box feature parity; implementation requirements and reliability must be verified.
You can also use both together: keep your Pipedrive CRM, then connect an HDP workflow to approved data and actions.
What Pipedrive includes
Pipedrive's product offers visual pipelines, contacts, deal management, sales activity tracking, reporting, email tools and hundreds of third-party integrations. Higher tiers add workflow automations, nurturing, lead scoring and other features. Its AI tools cover reporting, sales suggestions and Nova meeting intelligence, which Pipedrive described as a beta for selected customers in October 2026.
In June 2026, Pipedrive announced a native MCP server, allowing compatible AI assistants to search and update CRM data under existing permissions. This potentially offers HDP an integration route, but we have not yet demonstrated a live HDP-to-Pipedrive deployment.

What does Pipedrive cost?
The U.S. pricing page lists effective monthly prices of $14 Lite, $39 Growth, $59 Premium and $79 Ultimate per seat when billed annually, before add-ons. These are not monthly-billing prices. For example, five Growth seats equal $195 per month in subscription-equivalent expense, prepaid annually. HDP pricing requires a custom quote; do not compare price alone without implementation and operating costs.
Why customers look beyond a traditional CRM
Public reviews praise Pipedrive's accessible visual pipeline, while some discuss increasing seat costs, additional paid features, limited advanced reporting and complex workflows spanning other applications. These are individual experiences, not representative benchmarks. For many sales teams, Pipedrive may already be sufficient; where work repeatedly stops at a handoff, a more integrated workflow deserves investigation.
Three useful paths
- Keep Pipedrive: use its existing pipeline, workflows and integrations if they handle your needs.
- Extend Pipedrive with HDP: assess a permissioned connection for lead qualification, voice intake, reviewed follow-up or task outcomes.
- Build with HDP: design a custom sales-and-operations process when specific requirements justify a tailored system.
